Glyn uchaf Holiday Cottages are situated in the lovely village of Dwygyfylchi between Conwy and Penmaenmawr and nestling on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park,an area of outstanding beauty,close by are two pubs a bistro and an Austrian Restaurant.Within walking distance is the area of St Gwynans where there is a church,and a few shops for those essentials a Post Office a general store an Off licence also a cake shop and a Ladies Hairdressers.There is a local bus service which will stop when requested outside the end of the cottages.
Both Alltwen and Tal y Fan cottages were built seven years ago and come with all amenities,there is off road parking for two cars at each cottage,the cottages are wheelchair friendly ,but do not come with all disabled facilities .
There is a path to the front doors of the cottages Alltwen cottage is on two levels with six steps down from the bedroom level down to the living area ,but the living area can also be accessed from outside ,the cottage has a large double bedroom to the rear and a twin bedroom ,both bedrooms have tv/s a large wardrobe and bedside lamps and a ceiling lighting and an extra standing lighting,in the double bedroom there is a large dressing table with triple mirror ,in the twin room there is a large mirror and a small chest of drawers.Between the two bedrooms there is the bathroom with a bath and an over bath shower plus a toilet and handbasin ,there are two lights above the handbasin one of which has a shaver point.

Alltwen cottage has a fully fitted kitchen with a gas hob,electric oven with an extractor fan,plus a microwave,a dishwasher is provided plus a large fridge/freezer,the sitting is provided at a breakfast bar for upto four persons with two double settees if required.A full entertainment system is provided with flat screen television ,DVD player,CD player and radio plus wi-fi access,two settees are there for your comfort and can be arranged as you wish,there are three wall lights plus ceiling lights over the kitchen area,there is a large opening door out to your own patio ,there is a complete set of rustic furniture for your comfort,you have your own private garden area.
Tal y Fan Cottage is on one level and has a large double bedroom with a wardrobe and dressing table with mirror and next to the bedroom there is the bathroom with over bath shower ,toilet and hand basin one of the lights either side of the mirror has an 240v shaver point, the living area has a fully fitted kitchen with all the amenities of Alltwen plus a large round dining table and chairs,there is also two double settees one of which will convert into a deluxe double bed if required,again there is full access to your own patio with its own garden .
Both cottages are in eleven acres of National Park with woodland to the rear with many pleasant country walks both on the flat and more challenging mountain paths for the more athletic !,up the drive towards Glyn Uchaf House there is a wildlife pond where you can fish and walk round and enjoy,please take care when accompanied by children and keep dogs under control as there are ducks and other wildlife around.
There is a tack room close to the cottages which has a washing machine and spin dryer,plus there is bar b q equipment provided for both cottages .
The cottage information packs contain all numbers needed for doctors/taxis/hire companies/hospitals plus local pubs and restaurants.
Mobile phone reception is sp0radic dependent on provider,internet access is available at Glyn uchaf house by arrangement,there is always someone on site if needed.
The cottages have smoke alarms ,fire extinguisher and fire blanket,first aid kits and a rechargeable flash light.
Both cottages are fitted out to the highest standard with laminate flooring throughout and wide doors for easy access,all bedding ,towels are provided,our aim is to make your stay a memorable one.
Pets are welcome but must be kept under control at all times and never left alone unless by prior arrangement,they should not go on the beds and furniture all the pets bedding and bowls etc must be provided .They can be walked in our grounds but be aware of the horses etc.
Future plans ,We have an ongoing commitment to improve our cottages both by up dating/replacing equipment and furnishings when required,as well as checking safety and accessibility.The web site has been improved and will be continually be updated.
